I am responsible for the electric and gas providers for a very large church in Elmira, NY. We go through NYSEG or local utility company which is also no prize, for our readings, etc.
We have ESCOS for our electric and gas supply both and are satisfied with them, the electric is solar and produced locally. About twice/year I get a random phone call out of the blue from someone who usually doesn't identify himself but starts to immediately talk like we are having a follow-up conversation about our electric use. I have never called these people, and they actually hunted me down and got my number from somewhere after the church administrator told them it was my decision, and she would not provide my number to them.
In the past it has been such strong arm tactics that I have verbally, strongly questioned his family heritage calling him a *** as well as many unpleasant things before I hang-up, swearing up a storm. Today he called me 3 times on 3 different numbers within less that 2 minutes and started with his chummy conversation, immediately trying to confuse the situation until I hung up and blocked all 3 numbers.

Preferred solution: I want them to stop contacting me. We were a customer briefly only because they strong-armed an office administrator into agreeing to what they were offering.

Just as I predicted during the sales pitch and was told I was wrong, the rates for the first month were better than my rate at the time ($.0479 vs. $.0599) but they have since increased to $.0679 and now $.096455!
I should have stuck with my original provider where I had 9 months left on my plan. When I predicted the variable rate would skyrocket, the sales rep said "Why would we do that to our new customers?" and I said "because you're hoping people won't notice!" It's a scam - stay away from this company.

Switched to APG in Nov 2024 at .1049 / KWH variable rate. The next month Dec 24 the rate went to .295 / KWH I switched to another supplier at this point which took a month, and APG charged .33 / KWH for Jan. iN SHORT THEY RIPPED ME OFF FOR ABOUT $1,500.00

I cant believe this schitt. They guaranteed me that their prices would alway be below what my other supplier was.
At first that was true. Then they jumped up. Not crept up. Jumped up from 5 cent a kWh to 27cents a kWh.
What a ripoff. I say we all join together and get a lawyer and Sue them out of business.

Great offer they have no fees and they provide service monthly and rate is definitely better than utilities rate I love the flexibility of having a choice every month verses being locked in
